This database was developed primarily between 2019 and 2026 under the auspices of the ERC project Classical Influences and Irish Culture, and continues to be developed, when possible. 

The database records references to Graeco-Roman mythological and historical figures and locations in published translations, adaptations, and literary works inspired by classical sources written by Irish authors in both Irish and English, ranging from the medieval period to the present day. Each entry includes brief explanatory Notes and bibliographical references, where available.
